Alexandria Sponsors Foster Care Fair

The Alexandria Department of Human Services is sponsoring a Foster Care Fair to encourage foster parenting in Alexandria. The Fair is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 10 am to 1 pm at Alexandria Department of Human Services, 2525 Mount Vernon Ave., in the Cyphers conference room. Anyone interested in learning about being a foster parent or in assisting with the Department of Human Services’ foster care program is invited to attend.

The Fair is designed to provide specific and realistic information about how to become a foster parent, how to adopt a child, or how to volunteer to help children in foster care. Fair participants will learn about the experiences of real foster parents and children. Social workers will be available throughout the fair to provide consultation.
