City Offers New Solicitation Board in Purchasing Division

The City’s new Solicitation Board is now live on the Purchasing Division website.

The new board has several improvements that will increase the ability to provide documents in a timely manner. Prospective bidders will be able to download text documents from the website without charge. They will also be required to register with the City in order to download. This registration process will provide the Division of Purchasing with a list of those interested in a particular procurement.

Addenda and announcements will be sent electronically to those who have registered and downloaded documents. The results of Bids and Requests for Proposals will also be posted on the City’s website in order that interested parties may learn who is selected in the process.

The major benefits of the new board include savings in postage and printing costs as well as savings in the time necessary to forward documents to prospective bidders prior to a bid opening date.
