Cardinal Bank on King Street is Robbed


The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning at the Cardinal Bank at 1737 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 9:15 a.m., the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller. The suspect, who did not display any weapon, demanded money and the employee complied. The suspect fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old and 5-feet 11-inches to 6 feet tall. He was unshaven, and was last seen wearing a dark blue coat and light colored pants.
