Alexandria City Council Plans Community Meeting The Alexandria City Council will hold a community meeting at Charles Houston Recreation Center on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 7:30 pm. The recreation center is located at 905 Wythe St. Agenda items for the meeting will include a review of police activities and crime statistics for the area; a summary of code enforcement issues; and an overview of upcoming City projects including the relocation of the Health Department, renovation of the Durant Center, and realignment of the Monroe Avenue Bridge. Citizens will also have an opportunity to address the City Council on any topic.
