Alexandria Man Missing;
Family, Police Seek Public’s Assistance

The Alexandria Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man. Cyril K. During, Jr., 26, was reported missing to police by his family on Wednesday, January 8. Mr. During left his home in the unit block of Kennedy Street at 6:30 a.m. that day to go to work. When he did not arrive at his workplace in Fairfax, his employer contacted his family, and his father, with whom he lives, called police.

Mr. During’s vehicle, a white, four-door, 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix was recovered by Maryland State Police on Friday, January 10, near the intersection of I-295 and the Beltway just prior to Woodrow Wilson Bridge. There were no signs of foul play and the vehicle appeared to be in good running order. Police searched that area and the waterfront over the weekend with assistance from the Prince George’s County Police helicopter and K-9 units, and Metropolitan Police Harbor and D.C. Fire patrols, but did not locate Mr. During.

Mr. During suffers from lupus and needs medication. He is described as African-American, 5'11", 140 pounds, with short-hair and a medium complexion. One of his front teeth is discolored.

Anyone with information about Mr. During’s whereabouts is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section at 703.838.4711.
