Alexandria Police Investigate a Sudden Death;
Woman Dies During Medical Procedure
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the sudden death of a woman who died this afternoon at 11:11 a.m. at the Alexandria Women’s Center, 5130 Duke Street.
The victim, a 26-year-old Fairfax County resident, was undergoing a medical procedure at the Women’s Center when she died. A medic unit was called to the scene at approximately 10:30 a.m. and transported the victim to the Inova Alexandria Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:11 a.m. Police were called to the hospital and began their investigation shortly thereafter. The exact cause of death is unknown at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, November 18.
Alexandria detectives will continue their investigation at that time.
