City of Alexandria Announces Schedule of Services
for Veteran’s Day, Monday, November 11

City of Alexandria government offices will be open on the observed Veteran’s Day Holiday, Monday, Nov. 11. City offices, including the treasury, libraries and recreation centers, will operate on their regular Monday schedules.

However, State offices in Alexandria, including the Circuit, General District, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, the Clerk of Court Office, and the Alexandria Health Department will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11. In addition, Alexandria City Public Schools will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11.

In accordance with Virginia State Law, the City will suspend enforcement of parking restrictions at metered spaces, as well as time restrictions in residential permit parking districts and other areas with signed parking time limits, on Monday, Nov 11. HOV lane restrictions on Route 1 and Washington St. will be lifted on Monday, Nov. 11.

DASH bus service will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Monday, Nov. 11.
