Alexandria Police Investigate Child Sex Abuse Cases;
Alexandria Man May Have Victimized Others
On May 17, Alexandria police arrested Charles Franklin Harland, a 61-year-old Alexandria man, and charged him with Forcible Sodomy for assaulting a 9-year-old boy whom he knew. Detectives have since identified additional victims who were sexually abused by Harland, and these cases are currently under investigation.
At the time of Harland’s arrest, he was residing at 200 North Pickett Street. He has been held without bond at the Alexandria jail since his arrest in May.
