The Wachovia Bank at 3624 King Street is Robbed


The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the Wachovia Bank located at 3624 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller counter, implied a weapon and passed a note. The suspect demanded money and the employee complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years old, five-feet ten-inches tall, 200 pounds, and was wearing a black baseball cap and a grey t-shirt.
