Alexandria police have released a composite sketch of the suspect who attacked an Alexandria woman on Wednesday night. On May 1, just after 8 p.m., the 47-year-old victim was working in her yard in the 3300 block of Old Dominion Boulevard when she saw the suspect walking by.
The suspect approached her in her yard and demanded money. When she refused, he displayed a knife and began to stab her. The suspect and the victim struggled, and the victim forced his way into the house. Once inside, the suspect stole the victim's purse and then fled from the area on foot. The victim was treated at George Washington Hospital for her injuries and released later that night.
The suspect is described as a black male, clean shaven and dark complected. He is approximately 36 to 44 years old, 5'8" to 5'9" tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a hooded, light-blue jogging suit, dark baseball cap, and mirrored, wrap-around sunglasses with silver frames.
