The BB&T Bank at 1421 Prince Street is Robbed


The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the BB&T Bank located at 1421 Prince Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller counter, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, unshaven, in his mid-twenties, five-feet six-inches tall, and wearing a blue t-shirt.
