Alexandria City Council Adopts Budget Schedule

The Alexandria City Council adopted the following schedule for consideration of the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2003 budget. All meetings are open to the public and will be held in the City Council Chamber or Council Workroom, City Hall, unless noted otherwise.

Tuesday, March 12, 7:30 pm Presentation of the proposed FY2003 Operating Budget and proposed FY2003-2008 Capital Improvement Program

Wednesday, March 20, 7:30 pm Work session on the revenue overview, proposed FY2003 revenue initiatives and other topics

Monday, April 8, 4:30 pm Public hearing

Tuesday, April 16, 7:30 pm Joint work session with the School Board on the schools’ Capital Improvement Program and FY 2003 Operating Budget. Location: Samuel Tucker Elementary School, 435 Ferdinand Day Dr.

Thursday, April 18, 7:30 pm Work session

Monday, April 29, 7:30 pm Work session on Budget and Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee Report, and preliminary add/delete list

Monday, May 6, 6:30 pm Work session
