HOURS EXTENDED FOR ALEXANDRIA FARMERS’ MARKET

Beginning Saturday, Nov. 3, the operating hours of the Alexandria Farmers’ Market will be extended. The Market, held on Market Square in front of City Hall, 301 King St., will stay open until 2 p.m. most Saturdays, at least through the end of this calendar year. One exception is Saturday, Dec. 1, the date of the annual Scottish Christmas Walk. The Farmers’ Market will close at 10 a.m. that day.

The Farmers’ Market operates year-round and normally closes at 10 a.m. The schedule may be adjusted as needed to accommodate recreation and cultural events planned for Market Square. The decision to continue the 2 p.m. closing beyond December will be made later this year.
