On Saturday, August 25, police arrested Charles Anthony Gregg, a 32-year-old black male and resident of Alexandria and charged him with Robbery. This suspect is being held at the Adult Detention facility without bond. The woman was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and admitted. Her condition was considered critical but stable at the time and she remains hospitalized recovering from her injuries.
Several hours after the investigation began, officers stopped the suspect vehicle and transported the driver, Elvin Huggins, Jr., a 33-year-old male and resident of Sterling, Virginia, to police headquarters where he was questioned and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Other felony charges are pending. Huggins has been released on a $1,000 bond.
