ALEXANDRIA OFFERS FREE WEEKEND SHUTTLE
BUS SERVICE IN OLD TOWN


Beginning Memorial Day weekend, The Fun Side of the Potomac will be even "closer" to the nation's capital with Dash About, Alexandria's new, free weekend shuttle bus service.

Whether a visitor or a resident of Alexandria or the Greater Washington DC area, it's easier than ever to visit historic Old Town Alexandria. Alexandria's Transit Company (DASH), in partnership with the Alexandria Convention and Visitors Center Association is offering free weekend shuttle bus service from the King Street Metrorail Station to Market Square in Old Town Alexandria. The bus stops frequently along King Street and anyone can hop on and off at any Dash About stop and enjoy all that Old Town has to offer.

The colorfully wrapped Dash About buses can be found at the King Street Metro or at Dash About bus stops along King Street. Hours of operation are 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays; Saturdays from 10 a.m. until midnight; and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
