The F & M Bank at 1717 King Street is Robbed

The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the F & M Bank located at 1717 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The suspect passed a note demanding money and the employee complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as a black female, 35 to 40, 5-feet 5-inches to 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. She is dark complected and was last seen wearing gold hoop earrings, a black shirt, a long black coat, and a black knit cap.
