Alexandria Police Investigate Two Deaths
in an apparent Homicide - Suicide Shooting
On Tuesday, February 6, at 9:30 p.m., police responded to a high-rise apartment building located at 375 South Reynolds Street for a report of gunshots. Upon their arrival, police discovered two individuals deceased lying in the hallway on the eighth floor.
The victims, a 35-year-old male and a 36-year-old female were husband and wife and residents of the apartment building. Investigation revealed that the couple had been arguing inside their apartment just before the murder-suicide occurred. The female victim had left the apartment and the husband followed her out into the hallway. The husband then shot his wife before shooting himself.
The victims’ identities will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
