CITY TO HOLD COMMUNITY INFORMATION MEETING ON ELLEN COOLIDGE
BURKE LIBRARY AND LEARNING CENTER

The City of Alexandria will hold a community information meeting in the cafeteria of the Francis Hammond Middle School, 4646 Seminary Road, at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 3, on the architectural plans for the new Ellen Coolidge Burke Library and Learning Center. The meeting will provide an opportunity for citizens to review architectural plans for the center and ask questions about the new facility.
The reuse plan provides for conventional branch library services on the upper level of the facility. The lower level of the facility will house the Instructional Technology Services and Resources Department of the Alexandria City Public Schools.
The meeting will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. with a presentation by the architects, Murray and Associates, of the planned layout for the new facility. Following the presentation, the architects will be available to answer questions about the layout. City Manager Philip Sunderland and members of his staff will answer questions about the shared use plan.
