The SunTrust Bank at 4616 Kenmore Avenue is Robbed


The Alexandria Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at the SunTrust Bank located at 4616 Kenmore Avenue in Alexandria. There were no injuries.

At approximately 5:06 p.m., the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller counter. The suspect demanded money and the employee complied. The suspect then fled from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his early 20s, 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 9- inches tall, with a medium build and a slight goatee. He was wearing a dark ball cap, black pants, and a light-colored t-shirt with a light-colored tank top underneath. The suspect was last seen on foot.
