Community Bids Alexandria City Manager Vola Lawson Farewell
The Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council cordially invite the public to attend a reception honoring Alexandria City Manager Vola Lawson, who will retire March 1 after serving 15 years as the City’s top administrative official and following nearly 30 years of service as a City employee.
The event will be held Sunday, February 13, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the T.C. Williams High School Cafeteria, located at 3330 King Street, Alexandria. A special program will begin at 4 p.m. in the school’s John C. Albohm Auditorium, featuring remarks from the Mayor and Members of City Council, along with musical selections from the City’s choral group and remarks by invited guests and community members.
Light refreshments will be served. Shuttle vans will be available in the school’s parking lot for individuals needing assistance. For more information, call 838-4800.
