Auto Accident at North Henry and Pendleton Streets on 9-4-99 at 1957 Hours
A twenty-eight year old male was injured in a vehicle accident at the intersection of North Henry Street and Pendleton Street on Saturday night at 7:57 p.m. As a result of the collision he was flown to the Washington Hospital Center by MedStar helicopter suffering from chest and abdominal injuries. The landing zone was set up at the George Washington Middle School on Mount Vernon Avenue. Injuries do not appear to be life threatening, however, the man will be kept overnight for observation and testing.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Inova Alexandria Hospital by paramedic unit with neck pain. Impact of the collision was severe enough to cause airbag deployment.
