The Treasury and Revenue Divisions of the Finance Department of the City of Alexandria, Virginia, will be open from 9:00 AM until Noon every Saturday to offer selected services to citizens beginning on Saturday, January 9, 1999.
Citizens will be able to conduct the following business at City Hall on Saturday morning:

Except on Saturdays when City Council holds a public hearing and all doors are open, citizens should enter City Hall using the three doors on Market Square, facing King Street. The door closest to Royal Street is wheelchair accessible. For security purposes, all other doors to City Hall will remain locked.

In addition to regular business hours and Saturday mornings, citizens can make tax payments by mail, at Crestar bank branches within Alexandria, and by phone using a credit card payment service, 1-888-2PAYTAX. Effective January 9, 1999, citizens will also be able to place payments in lock boxes at the City's four public library branches.
