The Alexandria Office on Women needs caring women and men to volunteer with its Domestic Violence Program, working with children who have been affected by family violence. Children’s Program volunteers provide counseling and child care to children participating in group activities Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Volunteers receive extensive training and staff support. A one year commitment is required and volunteers are asked to work eight hours per month.
