City of Alexandria to Sponsor Homeownership Fair
To promote homeownership opportunities in its many neighborhoods, the City of Alexandria will sponsor its Second Annual Homeownership Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King Street, in Alexandria.
The Fair is open to the public. Admission and parking are free.
The Homeownership Fair, which is co-sponsored by NationsBank, Riggs National Bank, and William D. Euille and Associates, is an effort to increase homeownership in the City. Local lenders, real estate professionals, and representatives of housing counseling groups will be
present to discuss how to buy a home in Alexandria.
Information will be available at the Fair on a variety of housing types currently for sale in Alexandria. In addition, the Fair will feature seminars in both English and Spanish on affordable housing, credit issues, and how to buy a home.
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) housing counselors and mortgage loan specialists will be present to discuss conventional and government-insured FHA, VA, and VHDA mortgage loan programs. Information on the latest City programs to assist qualified ap plicants with the purchase of a home in Alexandria will also be available.
