David G. Speck Installed as City Councilman After Win in April 9 Special Election
David G. Speck was installed as the newest member of the Alexandria City Council on Saturday, April 13, following his victory in the City's April 9 special election.
Councilman Speck served on the City Council from 1991 to 1994 and represented the City in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1980 to 1982.
The April 9 special election was held to fill a vacancy on City Council created when former Vice Mayor Kerry J. Donley was elected Mayor in a special election in February, succeeding Patricia S. Ticer, who resigned in January following her election last November to the Senate of Virginia.
